In July 2010 the legislation governing the manufacture and issue of care beds will be superceded, this change enforces a much more rigorous standard concerning the build, testing and manufacture of these types of beds. Side rails and entrapment issues are also covered in much more detail.

There are a few different products available to deal with incontinence these can include:

Waterproof Bedding, Absorbent Under sheets, Incontinence pads and pants .

We can provide mattress protection with a waterproof cover as well as protective duvet covers and pillow cases. Special under sheets are available for beds and chair beds which enable an elderly person to lie or sit on a dry surface and Incontinence pads and pants that can be worn throughout the day and night. They are highly absorbent so as to keep the person's skin dry. Constant use can in some cases cause chaffing and the pads need regularly changing.
