Innovation
The Premier Active offers a unique and innovative 'Step Up/Step Down' approach which avoids the need to replace a complete mattress system, therefore minimising any disruption to the patient. The insert consists of air cells that alternate on a 10 minute cycle beneath the foam insert delivering a low point of impact at the point of change, thereby delivering high levels of comfort in addition to improved pressure reduction. This mattress is suited to patients who may find a more traditional dynamic system uncomfortable due to the movement and vibration involved.
Automatic Pump
Sensory software within the pump can gauge the weight of the patient enabling the pressure to be maintained at the appropriate level at all times. In addition the top layer of the high/very high risk castellated foam ensures the patient is fully supported in the event of a power failure. The pump is also alarmed in the case of power failure.
